Overview

Hoosier Hills Credit Union is seeking an Insurance Agent/Producer to join their award-winning team in Jasper, Indiana. The role involves managing member inquiries and helping clients find suitable insurance products while building strong relationships and contributing to the company's mission of exceptional service.

Key responsibilities

  • Greet insurance agency guests and assess member needs
  • Provide accurate pricing, quotes, and information on insurance products
  • Make recommendations based on member-specific needs
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients for long-term satisfaction
  • Stay informed about company products, pricing, and features
  • Follow up with members to resolve insurance needs or issues
  • Cross-sell other Credit Union products
  • Engage in sales calls to meet potential clients and expand the client base
  • Complete required compliance training and adhere to regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum three years of experience in insurance programs
  • Proper licensing with Indiana Department of Insurance (Property Casualty and Life & Health)
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Judgment and problem-solving ability
  • Intermediate mathematical skills
  • Basic knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software
  • Sales-oriented mindset with ability to meet sales goals
