Overview

Hoosier Hills Credit Union is seeking an Insurance Agent/Producer who is passionate about helping members find the right insurance products. This role involves managing member inquiries, providing exceptional service, and frequently engaging in field sales to meet potential clients. The position is aimed at building long-term relationships and ensuring members have the necessary insurance coverage.

Key responsibilities

  • Greet insurance agency guests and assess member needs
  • Provide accurate pricing, quotes, and information on insurance products
  • Make recommendations based on members' specific needs
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients and members
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all company products
  • Follow up with members to resolve insurance needs or issues
  • Cross-sell other Credit Union products
  • Engage in sales calls to potential clients
  • Complete required compliance training

Required skills

  • Minimum of three years of experience in insurance programs
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Licensing requirements with Indiana Department of Insurance
  • Professional interpersonal skills
  • Judgment and problem-solving skills
  • Intermediate mathematical skills
  • Basic knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Comfort with a sales-driven role
