Overview

Penn State Altoona is seeking an Instructor or open rank faculty member for the Sheetz Fellows Program to help shape future leaders through entrepreneurial thinking and problem-solving skills. The role involves teaching, mentoring, and engaging with students while developing educational programs that foster creativity and innovation in a supportive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Teach and assess student coursework for up to three undergraduate courses each semester
  • Provide mentorship and evaluation for students
  • Create engaging educational activities to accommodate different learning styles
  • Cultivate a supportive learning environment for critical thinking and real-world experience
  • Communicate effectively with students, faculty, staff, and community members
  • Collaborate on creating and enforcing program policies
  • Assist in administrative duties of the Sheetz Fellows Program
