Job Description

Overview

At New Story Schools, the Instructional Coach plays a crucial role in enhancing teaching practices through collaborative coaching focused on student-centered approaches. This position aims to strengthen educator capacity, promote high-quality instruction, and ensure positive outcomes for students with autism and other challenges.

Key responsibilities

  • Coach teachers through observation, modeling, dialogue, and co-teaching
  • Support alignment of instruction with standards, curriculum, and assessments
  • Promote inclusive and engaging student-centered learning environments
  • Provide professional development to enhance educator effectiveness
  • Collaborate with school leaders to analyze data and support improvement planning

Required skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in special education or related field
  • Valid Pennsylvania Instructional II Special Education certification
  • Experience in instructional coaching or mentoring
  • Strong knowledge of standards-based instruction and curriculum alignment
  • Ability to build trust through collaborative relationships
