Overview

As an Installation Technician Trainee at Safelite, you will undergo comprehensive training to become a proficient auto glass technician. This role focuses on developing the skills necessary for unsupervised glass repair and replacement, along with calibrating automotive safety systems. The ideal candidate should embrace a service-oriented mindset while aiming to provide exceptional customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

  • Learn and apprentice in installing and repairing auto glass
  • Recalibrate automotive safety systems and conduct diagnostic testing
  • Study and pass tests to achieve Safelite certification
  • Safely operate company and customer vehicles, tools, and chemicals
  • Adhere to all company policies and standards

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Valid state-issued driver's license
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools safely
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work outside in various weather conditions
  • Effective communication skills in English
