Overview

As an Installation Technician Trainee at Safelite, you will receive hands-on and classroom training to become a proficient auto glass technician. This role focuses on equipping you with the essential skills needed for glass repair, replacement, and recalibrations, culminating in the Safelite SafeTech certification.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist in installing and repairing auto glass
  • Recalibrate automotive safety systems and conduct diagnostic testing
  • Study and pass testing to become a Safelite-certified Technician
  • Safely operate company and customer vehicles, tools, and chemicals
  • Comply with company policies and standards
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid state-issued driver's license
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Proficient in using hand and power tools safely
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle in accordance with laws
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions
