Overview

As an Installation Technician Trainee at Safelite, you will be integral to the auto glass repair and replacement process, working both in shops and on the go with mobile services. This role emphasizes efficient service delivery, safety, and customer satisfaction through comprehensive training and the use of advanced technology.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide vehicle glass repair and replacement services efficiently and safely.
  • Recalibrate automotive safety systems and perform diagnostic testing.
  • Operate and maintain Safelite's advanced tools and technologies.
  • Communicate with customers and promote Safelite's products and services.
  • Maintain a clean working environment and ensure customer vehicles are cleaned after service.
  • Comply with all policies and safety standards.

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid state-issued driver's license
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Experience with hand tools and power tools
  • Technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication skills in English
  • Proficiency in using computerized diagnostic tools
