Overview

The Installation Technician Trainee at Safelite is an entry-level role focused on providing vehicle glass repair and replacement services, both at a shop and on-the-go with mobile offerings. Technicians will undergo training and utilize industry-leading tools to ensure safety and quality while delivering exceptional customer service.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide vehicle glass repair and replacement services efficiently and safely.
  • Recalibrate automotive safety systems and conduct diagnostic testing.
  • Operate Safelite's tools and technologies proficiently.
  • Communicate with customers in-person, via text, and by phone.
  • Promote and sell Safelite's services and promotional items.
  • Clean customer vehicles after each job.
  • Comply with all policies and safety standards.

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • Valid state-issued driver's license
  • Safelite SafeTech certification
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Proficiency with hand tools and power tools
  • Basic computer skills, including the use of diagnostic tools
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Effective communication skills in English
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions
