Overview

The Installation Technician Trainee at Safelite is a hands-on role focused on providing vehicle glass repair and replacement services both in-shop and through their Mobile Glass Shop. This position emphasizes safety, quality, and exceptional customer service while leveraging industry-leading tools and technology for repairs and recalibrations.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide vehicle glass repair and replacement services efficiently, ensuring safety and quality.
  • Recalibrate automotive safety systems and complete diagnostic testing.
  • Operate various tools and technologies used in repairs, including Safelite’s specialized equipment.
  • Communicate with customers in-person and through digital channels, promoting Safelite services.
  • Maintain cleanliness of customer vehicles after each job.
  • Comply with company policies and standards.

Required skills

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a company vehicle.
  • Safelite SafeTech certification.
  • Proficiency in using computerized diagnostic tools.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions.
