Overview

The Installation Technician at Safelite will undergo training to become a proficient auto glass technician. This role focuses on auto glass installations, repairs, and the recalibration of automotive safety systems, embodying a customer service-oriented mindset to ensure high-quality service and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

  • Observe and assist in installing and repairing auto glass
  • Recalibrate automotive safety systems and perform diagnostic testing
  • Study and pass testing to become a Safelite-certified Technician
  • Safely operate company and customer vehicles and utilize tools during the workday
  • Comply with all company policies and standards
  • Perform other assigned duties as needed

Required skills

  • Auto glass installation and repair

  • Ability to operate hand and power tools safely
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions
  • Proficiency in using computerized diagnostic tools
