Job Description

Overview

As an Installation Technician at Safelite, you will be trained to become a proficient auto glass technician through hands-on and classroom training. Upon completing the training program, you will earn the Safelite SafeTech certification, allowing you to perform glass repair, replacement, and recalibrations independently while providing high-quality service and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

  • Observe and assist in installing and repairing auto glass
  • Recalibrate automotive safety systems and perform diagnostic testing
  • Provide additional services and products as needed
  • Safely operate company and customer vehicles and utilize company-issued tools and chemicals
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Comply with all company policies and standards

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Valid state-issued driver's license
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools safely
  • Problem-solving skills for troubleshooting issues
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Familiarity with computerized diagnostic tools
