Job Description

Overview

As an Installation Technician at Safelite, you will be trained to become a proficient auto glass technician through hands-on and classroom training. Upon completing the training program, you will receive the Safelite SafeTech certification, enabling you to perform glass repair, replacement, and recalibrations independently while embodying a service-oriented mindset.

Key responsibilities

  • Receive hands-on and classroom training on installing and repairing auto glass
  • Recalibrate automotive safety systems and perform diagnostic testing
  • Provide additional services and products to customers
  • Safely operate company and customer vehicles as well as company-issued tools
  • Complete other duties as assigned
  • Adhere to all policies and standards

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Valid state-issued driver's license
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Proficient in using hand tools and power tools
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions
  • Proficiency with computerized diagnostic tools
  • Effective communication skills in English
