Job Description

Overview

As an Installation Technician Trainee at Safelite, you will receive training to become a proficient auto glass technician. Upon successful completion of the program, you will achieve certification and be able to perform glass repairs, replacements, and calibrations independently while delivering exceptional customer service.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist in installing and repairing auto glass
  • Recalibrate automotive safety systems and perform diagnostic testing
  • Provide additional products and services to customers
  • Study and pass testing to become a certified Technician
  • Safely operate company and customer vehicles and use company-issued tools

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent preferred
  • Valid state-issued driver's license
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in tight spaces
  • Experience using hand tools and power tools safely
  • Proficiency in using computerized diagnostic tools
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
