Overview

As an Installation Technician at Safelite, you will undergo training to become a proficient auto glass technician. The role involves learning to install, repair, and recalibrate auto glass, ensuring compliance with the highest quality standards while providing exceptional customer service.

Key responsibilities

  • Learn and apprentice in auto glass installation and repair
  • Recalibrate automotive safety systems and conduct diagnostic testing
  • Provide additional services and products to customers
  • Obtain Safelite SafeTech certification
  • Safely operate company and customer vehicles, tools, and chemicals
  • Comply with all operational policies and standards

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Valid state-issued driver's license
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Proficiency with hand tools and power tools
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle safely
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Familiarity with computerized diagnostic tools
