Job Description

Overview

The Installation Technician at Safelite will be trained to become a proficient auto glass technician, focusing on glass repair, replacement, and recalibration of automotive safety systems. This role emphasizes a positive attitude and exceptional customer service while providing high-quality work in a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Observe and assist in installing and repairing auto glass
  • Recalibrate automotive safety systems, including troubleshooting and completing diagnostic testing
  • Provide additional services and products
  • Study and pass tests to become a Safelite-certified Technician
  • Safely operate company and customer vehicles and tools
  • Comply with all policies and standards

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Valid state-issued driver's license
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in tight spaces
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools
  • Experience with computerized diagnostic tools
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate in English
