Overview

The Installation Technician at Safelite is a crucial role that involves performing auto glass repairs and replacements while delivering exceptional customer service. This hands-on position requires utilizing industry-leading tools and technology both in-shop and on the go with the Mobile Glass Shop, ensuring safety and quality in every task.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide vehicle glass repair and replacement services at a Safelite Shop or Mobile Glass Shop
  • Recalibrate automotive safety systems and conduct diagnostic testing
  • Proficiently operate Safelite's tools and technologies
  • Safely operate company and customer vehicles
  • Communicate with customers in-person, via text, and on the phone
  • Present and promote Safelite promotional items and services
  • Clean customer vehicles after each job
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Comply with all policies and standards

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid state-issued driver's license
  • Safelite SafeTech certification
  • Mechanical skills and tools operation
  • Time management
  • Customer service
  • Experience with diagnostic tools and safety systems
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
