Job Description

Overview

Pramira Inc is seeking an experienced Installation and Maintenance Supervisor to lead the fiber network maintenance program in Schenectady, New York. This role is responsible for managing field operations, overseeing installation and maintenance crews, and ensuring compliance with service level agreements.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead installation and maintenance activities for residential, MDU, and commercial fiber installations.
  • Manage daily ticket workflow from the Network Operations Center, ensuring timely processing.
  • Supervise technicians in installation, splicing, testing, and documentation tasks.
  • Oversee maintenance and repair work related to city or utility projects.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual service level agreements for performance metrics.
  • Conduct site inspections and QA/QC audits to maintain safety and branding standards.
  • Coordinate with city inspectors, owners, and subcontractors for field activities.
  • Train and mentor crews for efficient service repair tickets.
  • Support asset control and monthly reporting as required under contract.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required skills

  • 5+ years of experience in fiber installation or maintenance operations
  • Strong understanding of fiber drops, ONT installation, splicing, and restoration procedures
  • Familiarity with ticket management workflows (e.g., Jira, FSM)
  • Proven ability to manage crews under performance-based contracts
  • Excellent documentation and safety compliance skills
  • California driver's license and clean driving record
  • OSHA-30 certification preferred; Blue Badge or equivalent fiber certification a plus
