Job Description

Overview

John C. Cassidy is seeking an HVAC Commercial Installer focusing on piping systems, which includes installing, assembling, and maintaining chilled water, condenser water, and refrigerant piping. The role demands careful adherence to safety standards and project timelines while working on commercial projects and large custom homes.

Key responsibilities

  • Install, layout, and assemble HVAC piping systems for commercial projects and large custom homes
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe to required angles
  • Perform brazing, soldering, and welding as needed
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades
  • Pressure test piping systems to identify and repair leaks
  • Install and support HVAC equipment such as chillers and boilers
  • Maintain compliance with safety procedures and company policies
  • Ensure job sites are clean, organized, and meet quality standards
  • Provide guidance or mentorship to apprentice installers when assigned

Required skills

  • 3-5 years of commercial HVAC installation experience
  • Strong piping background
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school training preferred
  • EPA Universal Certification
  • OSHA 10 or 30 preferred
  • Welding or brazing certification a plus
  • Ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and piping installation methods
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs
