Overview

As an Inside Sales / Account Manager at National Equipment & Service Corporation, you'll play a crucial role in maximizing customer lifetime value through proactive relationship management and service delivery coordination. Located in Irvine, California, this position is vital for ensuring customers receive exceptional experiences from initial contact to long-term partnership.

Key responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, maintaining regular communication and building long-term trust.
  • Proactively reach out to customers to discuss service history and upcoming needs.
  • Resolve customer issues by coordinating with internal teams and owning outcomes.
  • Create accurate estimates and detailed scopes of work for service calls and projects.
  • Schedule and coordinate preventative maintenance service visits.
  • Manage work order flow in the internal field service management system.
  • Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities to expand service agreements.
  • Develop and execute retention strategies for at-risk accounts.
  • Negotiate contract renewals and service agreement expansions.
  • Maintain accurate customer records in CRM and FSM.
  • Prepare spending reports and account performance updates.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent professional experience in account management
  • 3+ years in account management or customer success in B2B industrial/commercial field
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms and field service management software
  • Strong proficiency with Mac/Apple ecosystem and modern SaaS tools
  • Familiarity with AI tools and large language models
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under time pressure
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
