This leadership role is responsible for patient care quality, staff supervision, workforce management, regulatory compliance, budgeting, recruitment, retention, education, and operational excellence.The Manager will collaborate closely with nursing leadership, human resources, and clinical teams to ensure safe patient care, maintain accreditation readiness, support nursing professional development, and drive quality improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Lead daily Med Surg Unit operationsManage staffing and workforce productivityRecruit, onboard, mentor, and retain nursing staffConduct performance evaluations and coachingEnsure compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, and regulatory standardsSupport budgeting and resource managementOversee competency management and staff educationParticipate in nursing leadership on-call rotationSupport nurse-sensitive quality initiativesCoordinate float pool resources and staffing optimizationMaintain readiness for accreditation and auditsOccasionally provide direct patient care support as needed Important Notes Relocation to Grand Junction, CO 81505 is required before start dateOnsite/In-Person positionActive Colorado RN license requiredLeadership and Med Surg management experience strongly preferredEqual Opportunity Employer
