Overview

FM is seeking an Innovation Analyst II to join their Innovation team, focusing on venture opportunities that enhance risk management solutions for clients. The role involves market research, technical due diligence, and collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders to accelerate the adoption of emerging technologies like AI and climate tech.

Key responsibilities

  • Identify and share technological signals and trends with internal stakeholders
  • Conduct research on emerging technologies for business solutions
  • Lead technical due diligence on venture investment opportunities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with subject matter experts and clients
  • Track market trends and funnel new opportunities using analytics tools
  • Coordinate with internal teams to expedite deal processes
  • Support various venture models and shape investment strategies
  • Prepare data-driven presentations for investment committees

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum two years of experience in VC, PE, CVC, or investment banking
  • Experience with pre-seed to late-stage deals
  • Ability to evaluate deep-tech solutions, including AI and climate tech
  • Proficiency in research tools like Pitchbook and data analytics
  • Strong project management and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in financial analysis and market size estimation
  • Ability to balance commercial and technical considerations
