Injection Molding Maintenance Technician fitchburg, MA 01420Injection Molding Maintenance TechnicianFitchburg, MA Full-TimeMaintain the Equipment That Keeps Production RunningMicron Solutions is seeking an experienced Injection Molding Maintenance Technician to support our thermoplastic injection molding operation in Fitchburg, Massachusetts.This role is focused on maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting injection molding presses and molding support equipment within a manufacturing environment. We are specifically seeking candidates with experience supporting injection molding machinery and plastics manufacturing operations.Important: This is not a general maintenance position.Successful candidates will have prior experience maintaining and troubleshooting injection molding presses and molding auxiliary equipment in a plastics manufacturing environment.Candidates whose experience is limited to:Facilities maintenanceBuilding maintenanceHVACProperty maintenanceAutomotive repairConstruction equipmentField serviceGeneral industrial maintenancewithout direct injection molding equipment experience will not be considered.What You'll DoMaintain Injection Molding EquipmentTroubleshoot, repair, and maintain injection molding presses and auxiliary molding equipment.Diagnose and resolve hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical equipment issues.Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.Support press uptime, reliability, and overall production performance.Respond to equipment breakdowns and drive rapid issue resolution.Support Molding OperationsMaintain and troubleshoot:Injection molding pressesRobots and automation systemsResin dryersChillersThermolatorsMaterial conveying systemsGranulators and other molding support equipmentWork closely with Process Technicians, Production, Engineering, and Tooling personnel to minimize downtime and improve equipment performance.Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and process improvement initiatives.Injection molding pressesRobots and automation systemsResin dryersChillersThermolatorsMaterial conveying systemsGranulators and other molding support equipmentDrive Reliability ImprovementsIdentify recurring equipment issues and help implement permanent corrective actions.Support preventive maintenance programs and equipment reliability initiatives.Document maintenance activities within the CMMS system.Help improve overall equipment effectiveness, uptime, and operational efficiency. QualificationsRequired QualificationsMinimum 3 years of direct maintenance experience supporting injection molding presses and molding auxiliary equipment.Experience troubleshooting and repairing thermoplastic injection molding machinery.Strong hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical troubleshooting skills.Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, mechanical schematics, and technical documentation.Experience supporting molding support equipment including robots, dryers, chillers, thermolators, and conveying systems.Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Preferred QualificationsExperience with Engel, Arburg, Sodick, Toyo, or similar injection molding presses.Experience with Wittmann, Yushin, Star, or similar robotic systems.Knowledge of automation and auxiliary molding equipment.Medical device manufacturing or ISO 13485 experience.CMMS experience.Technical degree, apprenticeship, or equivalent maintenance training.Who Will Be Successful In This Role?This position is ideal for professionals currently working as:Injection Molding Maintenance TechnicianPlastics Maintenance TechnicianMolding Equipment TechnicianInjection Molding MechanicMolding Maintenance MechanicMolding Process Equipment TechnicianInjection Molding Service Technician (plant-based)Successful candidates will have experience supporting thermoplastic injection molding operations and will be comfortable working directly on
