Job Description

Overview

GBI Services d'ingénierie is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join their building team in Montreal. With over 60 years of experience, GBI works on a variety of multidisciplinary and innovative projects, providing a supportive and inclusive work environment for its employees.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan, study, and evaluate electrical equipment and systems
  • Conduct feasibility studies, short-circuit studies, design studies, and performance evaluations
  • Prepare cost estimates, design specifications for electrical systems, and write reports
  • Design circuits, components, networks, and electrical installations
  • Supervise the installation, modification, testing, and operation of electrical systems and devices
  • Support technicians, drafters, and junior/intermediate engineers
  • Monitor work on construction sites and track contractors' schedules

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in consulting engineering in a similar position
  • Experience with commercial and institutional projects
  • Strong representation skills with clients
  • Proficient in French, both oral and written
  • Knowledge of software including Word, Excel, AGI32, and Arc Flash study tools
