Overview

MA-TH inc. is seeking a Building Structural Engineer in Drummondville, Quebec. This role involves designing and sizing structures in various materials, overseeing project plans, and ensuring compliance with construction codes and standards. Key responsibilities

  • Design and size structures in steel, reinforced concrete, and wood according to applicable codes and regulations.
  • Supervise the production of plans and be responsible for signing and sealing them.
  • Manage and coordinate engineering projects of varying sizes.
  • Conduct surveys and inspections on existing structures.
  • Write technical reports and participate in site meetings to follow up on works.

Required skills

  • Degree in civil engineering, building engineering, or construction with specialization in structure
  • Bilingual communication in French and English
  • Membership in the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec
  • Proficiency in finite element analysis software (SAFI, ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE)
  • Knowledge of applicable construction standards and codes
