Overview

Service Industriel Mécanix inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer for a role based in the Bellechasse region, under the supervision of the engineering director. The candidate will be responsible for solving technical issues within project teams, leading research and development projects, and contributing to the design of new handling equipment while ensuring deadlines are met.

Key responsibilities

  • Resolve technical problems within the project team.
  • Lead teams in research and development and special projects.
  • Participate in the design of new handling equipment.
  • Support production implementation.
  • Participate in design reviews.
  • Respond to complex service cases and train colleagues.
  • Analyze customer needs and monitor market trends.
  • Participate in defining new products and product families.
  • Prepare proposals for complex projects.
  • Collaborate with production, purchasing, and service departments.
  • Provide technical assistance to other departments and clients.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
  • Technical knowledge of heavy and hydraulic equipment (asset).
  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
  • Ability to work in a team and solve complex problems.
  • Good communication skills in English.
  • Willingness to travel outside the country.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle complex cases.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and urgency.
  • Customer-oriented mindset.
  • Positive leadership within the engineering department.
