Overview

Systèmes PRAN inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join their engineering team in a permanent role. The engineer will closely collaborate with team members to develop new products primarily for the transportation industry, while also tackling various technical challenges.

Key responsibilities

  • Establish project specifications and requirements
  • Estimate costs and timelines
  • Design electronic schematics
  • Develop low-level and application code
  • Validate and standardize products
  • Create technical documentation
  • Support and supervise engineers or technicians

Required skills

  • Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent
  • Knowledge of microcontroller/microprocessor circuit designs
  • Signal processing (digital/analog)
  • Power transistor (MOSFET) knowledge
  • PCB design expertise
  • Microcontroller system programming (C, C++)
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills
  • Team collaboration abilities
  • Fluency in French and English
  • Experience with Altium software
  • Knowledge of S32K, STM32, NXP architectures
  • Familiarity with operating systems (Linux, RTOS)
  • Understanding of automotive communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet)
  • Knowledge of automotive design standards (ISO, SAE)
  • Familiarity with regulations and certifications (CE, CRA)
