Infrastructure Operator - CDL B (Hands-On Driving Role) Get Out of the Same Old Driving Job If you're a CDL B driver who wants more than just sitting behind the wheel, this is your opportunity. In this role, you'll combine driving with hands-on fieldwork-supporting critical infrastructure projects that keep communities running. You'll operate specialized equipment, work on active job sites, and be part of a team focused on safety, efficiency, and real results. About the Role As an Infrastructure Technician, you'll help maintain and restore critical systems like sewer lines, pipelines, and storm drains. Your work directly supports municipalities, businesses, and communities by keeping essential infrastructure safe and operational. Pay: $24.00 - $25.50/hour What You'll Do Operate vacuum trucks, water jetting, and hydroblasting equipment Support sewer, pipeline, and storm drain cleaning and inspection projects Assist with CCTV pipeline inspections (training provided) Set up hoses, pressure systems, and jobsite equipment Perform industrial cleaning and material removal Participate in confined space work Assist with traffic control, site setup, and cleanup Complete driver logs, DVIRs, and job documentation This is a working operator role - you will be active in the field, not just driving. What You Need CDL Class B with tanker endorsement Clean driving record DOT medical card (or ability to obtain and maintain) Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and perform strenuous physical work Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions Ability to work in confined spaces Willingness to wear PPE, including respirators Strong teamwork, reliability, and communication skills Experience with CCTV pipeline inspection a plus Background in construction, utilities, or industrial services a plus Traffic control or site preparation experience a plus Work Environment Field-based work at municipal and industrial job sites Work performed outdoors, underground, and on uneven terrain Daily schedules assigned by leadership Safety-first culture with strict compliance standards Why Join C&K Year-round, steady union work Full benefits: medical, dental, vision, life, and disability 401(k) with company match Paid Time Off (PTO) after 90 days Safety boot reimbursement and all PPE provided Paid training Per diem for out-of-town work Compliance & Equal Opportunity This is a DOT-regulated, safety-sensitive position.
