Overview

Palo Alto Community Child Care is looking for a qualified Infant - Toddler Teacher to join their team, focusing on children aged 2 months to 2 years at their Infant - Toddler Centers in Palo Alto. The role involves creating a safe and stimulating learning environment, developing age-appropriate curriculums, and maintaining open communication with parents and caregivers.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum
  • Assess and communicate children's progress to parents
  • Supervise activities and encourage cooperative behavior
  • Foster self-expression through art and physical activities
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the center
  • Observe children for health and emotional issues
  • Document significant behaviors and incidents accurately

Required skills

  • 12 semester units in Early Childhood Education (ECE)
  • Experience working with young children
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff
  • Child Development Permit (preferred)
  • Bilingual skills (preferred)
  • Experience with diverse populations and teaching philosophies
  • Technology integration in the classroom
