Children's Friend is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Infant/Toddler Teacher to join our Head Start team. In this rewarding role, you'll help shape the early learning experiences of children from birth to age three while partnering with families and a multidisciplinary team to support each child's growth and development.This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact every day in a collaborative, mission-driven environment committed to strengthening children, families, and communities. What You'll Do: As an Infant/Toddler Teacher, you will create a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate learning environment where young children can explore, grow, and thrive.Key responsibilities include:Implement engaging curriculum aligned with Head Start performance standards and DCYF licensing requirementsFoster children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical developmentObserve and document children's progress and maintain accurate developmental recordsPartner closely with families through regular communication, conferences, and home visitsCollaborate with a multidisciplinary team including health, nutrition, mental health, and family support staffMaintain a welcoming classroom that supports diversity, inclusion, and positive relationshipsWork alongside a Teacher Assistant to create a supportive and enriching classroom environmentParticipate in professional development and ongoing training to continuously strengthen teaching practiceServe as a mentor and role model for colleagues and new teachers What You Bring: Associate's degree requiredBachelor's degree with a focus on Infant/Toddler development preferredRIDE Certification preferredExperience working with children birth-3 years old, or strong interest in this age groupAbility to create warm, supportive relationships with children and familiesStrong communication and teamwork skillsBasic computer skills for documentation and communicationValid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel between sites as neededAbility to lift up to 40 poundsCPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain)Ability to meet DCYF licensing requirements and background screening Why Children's Friend?
