Overview

Georgetown Hill Early School is seeking Infant Teachers who are passionate about caring for babies and creating a nurturing environment to support their early development. The school is expanding and offers educators the opportunity to utilize their proven PLAN curriculum while exploring creativity in the classroom.

Key responsibilities

  • Build strong bonds with infants aged 6 weeks to 12 months, fostering trust and supporting their development
  • Provide a safe and nurturing environment ensuring the health, welfare, and safety of each child
  • Support the physical, socio-emotional, and developmental needs of children in the classroom
  • Demonstrate effective leadership among the classroom team
  • Exhibit effective communication skills and positive interpersonal relations with children, families, and colleagues
  • Manage the classroom to foster a consistent and positive learning environment

Required skills

  • 2-4 years of relevant experience
  • MSDE 90hr Infant/Toddler Certification or CDA Certification with Infant/Toddler Endorsement
  • Understanding of child development principles and instructional strategies
  • Knowledge of MSDE regulations
  • Warm and friendly personal demeanor
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Highly organized with prioritization and multitasking abilities
  • Team-oriented attitude
