Overview

North Bay Children is seeking an Infant Teacher in Novato, California. The role involves planning and implementing age-appropriate activities for infants and toddlers while ensuring compliance with best practices and licensing requirements. The teacher will work collaboratively with a team to foster a safe and inviting environment for children's development.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan and implement diverse, age-appropriate activities with the teaching team
  • Maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment
  • Conduct ongoing assessments of children's development
  • Engage in regular self-assessment and goal setting
  • Attend scheduled staff development days and meetings
  • Foster positive interactions with children and families
  • Maintain required supervision of children at all times
  • Report any injuries incurred by children or staff

Required skills

  • 5 years experience in early childhood education programs
  • 12 ECE units plus 6 units in Infant/Toddler Development
  • CTC Teacher Permit
  • Knowledge of Community Care Licensing requirements
  • Pediatric First Aid and CPR Certification
  • Proficient in written and spoken Spanish (desired)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
