Overview

Merryhill School is seeking a loving and attentive Infant Teacher for their preschool program in Sacramento, California. The role involves providing a nurturing environment for infants to grow and develop crucial early skills while building strong relationships with families and collaborating with a dedicated teaching team.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide a warm, responsive, and engaging classroom experience for infants
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with families through communication and care updates
  • Create a safe and stimulating classroom environment that promotes curiosity and confidence
  • Collaborate with teaching team to maintain routines and meet licensing standards

Required skills

  • Completed 12 Core ECE Units in Early Childhood Education, including 3 Infant/Toddler units
  • CDA in Infant Toddler or 6 months of teaching experience in a licensed preschool
  • Prior experience in a licensed childcare center
  • Strong communication skills, patience, flexibility, and a love for working with infants
