Overview

Micron is seeking a skilled Industrial Waste Treatment Engineer to oversee third-party designs of waste treatment systems for semiconductor manufacturing projects. This role involves managing external design firms and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards while implementing ambitious waste treatment solutions.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate third-party design firms in developing waste treatment systems for hazardous and non-hazardous materials
  • Review and validate third-party design work to ensure compliance with project requirements
  • Conduct technical evaluations of designs to verify treatment efficiency and safety
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to align designs with facility requirements
  • Perform quality assurance and risk assessments on designs
  • Ensure designs integrate with other facility systems using BIM tools
  • Implement safety and environmental protocols for waste treatment systems

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, chemical engineering, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in waste treatment system design
  • Strong knowledge of waste treatment processes and regulations
  • Proficiency in reviewing engineering deliverables using tools like AutoCAD, Revit, or Navisworks
  • Experience with control systems (e.g., PLC, SCADA) and BIM workflows
  • Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, and local hazardous waste regulations
