Job Description

Overview

The Industrial Sales Engineer at Kaydon Ring & Seal (KRS) is responsible for developing and presenting technical and commercial solutions tailored to customer needs in Aerospace and Industrial applications. The role requires managing existing customer relations while uncovering new business opportunities, forecasting sales, and providing technical support.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop quotes, reports, and presentations
  • Tear down and evaluate customer property returned for repair
  • Manage existing customers and identify new opportunities
  • Forecast orders and sales quotas
  • Provide technical support for customer equipment
  • Travel to support customer needs and engagements
  • Report on progress against specific objectives and opportunities
  • Independently close sales opportunities
  • Complete other duties as assigned by management

Required skills

  • BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline
  • Hands-on mechanical aptitude
  • PC proficiency for interfacing with company and customers
  • Eligibility for TWIC credential for access to petroleum refineries
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Organizational and prioritization skills
  • Time management skills
