Overview

SJS Executives LLC is seeking a full-time Industrial Painter to join their team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The ideal candidate will have experience in applying industrial or marine coatings and will work in a fast-paced environment serving military and maritime customers. The role requires attention to detail and collaboration within a team setting.

Key responsibilities

  • Start up and shut down paint booth and ensure its proper operation
  • Mix paint according to standards and directions
  • Inspect applicator guns and related tools for safety and functionality
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance with maintenance technicians
  • Apply coatings to objects at the correct mil thickness
  • Update senior personnel about operational status and any issues
  • Perform routine cleanup and housekeeping tasks
  • Execute other production-related tasks as assigned

Required skills

  • Experience in industrial or marine wet spray painting
  • Knowledge of paint types and mixing
  • Understanding of paint gun maintenance
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to pass an in-person spray paint performance test
  • Capability to lift and carry objects up to 30 pounds
