West Fraser is seeking an Industrial Mechanical Technician to join their team in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. The role involves critical measurements, preventive maintenance, and repairs of planer machines, ensuring proper operation and product quality.

Key responsibilities

  • Demonstrate proper use of safety equipment and adhere to safety rules and lockout procedures
  • Perform critical measurements using a caliper
  • Set, monitor, and maintain the operation of the planer machine
  • Conduct minor repairs and routine maintenance, including lubrication
  • Assist maintenance on major repairs when needed
  • Feed the Planer to maintain a constant lumber flow
  • Change knives and ensure machine tolerances are met
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization as assigned
  • Complete required training and competency assessments
