Job Description

Overview

Hi-Tek Manufacturing is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician for the 2nd shift to support advanced manufacturing technology through general electrical and mechanical maintenance of machinery and equipment. The role requires troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing production equipment, as well as ensuring a safe and clean work environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform general electrical and mechanical maintenance of machinery and equipment
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair hydraulic and pneumatic production equipment
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems
  • Weld as needed (ARC, MIG or TIG)
  • Perform mechanical skills in troubleshooting and repair of machinery
  • Operate platform lifts and overhead cranes as necessary
  • Follow lock out tag out protocol and ensure safety policies are adhered to
  • Complete daily housekeeping duties to maintain a safe work environment
  • Respond to daily facilities work orders and participate in special projects

Required skills

  • Experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of CNC machines, distributed control systems, and logic controllers
  • Electrical, mechanical, fluid power, and control systems understanding
  • Ability to work with low voltage systems
  • Experience with E & I (Electrical & Instrumentation) work preferred
  • Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to operate hand/power tools and material handling equipment
  • Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
  • Effective team-player attitude and reliability in attendance
