Overview

West Fraser is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician in Orange Park, Florida. The role involves performing preventive maintenance and minor repairs on machinery, specifically the planer machine, while ensuring operational efficiency and adherence to safety protocols.

Key responsibilities

  • Demonstrate proper use of personal protective equipment and safety procedures
  • Monitor, set, and maintain the planer machine
  • Perform minor repairs and preventive maintenance on equipment
  • Assist maintenance with major repairs as needed
  • Ensure constant lumber flow through the planer
  • Maintain machine setup to proper tolerances
  • Change knives and lubricate machinery
  • Participate in housekeeping duties as assigned
  • Complete West Fraser Qualified Millwright training

Required skills

  • Experience with preventive maintenance
  • Knowledge of machine operation and maintenance
  • Ability to perform mechanical reasoning and troubleshooting
  • Experience with hand tools
