Overview

West Fraser is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician for their Jacksonville Beach location. The role involves ensuring the proper operation of a planer machine, performing both preventive and minor repairs, and assisting with major repairs while adhering to safety procedures.

Key responsibilities

  • Demonstrate proper use of personal protective equipment and safety rules
  • Set, monitor, and maintain the planer machine
  • Perform minor repairs and preventive maintenance
  • Maintain proper setup and operation of the planer
  • Feed the planer and ensure constant lumber flow
  • Assist maintenance on major repairs of machines
  • Change knives and perform routine lubrication
  • Complete West Fraser Qualified Millwright training
  • Assist with maintenance repairs as directed
