Overview

The Industrial Maintenance Technician at Pures Food Specialties LLC is responsible for the maintenance and operation of machinery in the production facility. The role emphasizes minimizing downtime, maintaining quality standards, and supporting the production team through repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform setup, repair, and maintenance of production machinery to ensure optimal performance
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to identify potential issues
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems to resolve equipment malfunctions
  • Repair and maintain plumbing systems, hydraulic components, and cutting tools
  • Operate and maintain power tools and industrial equipment safely
  • Perform welding tasks (MIG, TIG, Stick) as needed
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot PLC systems and electrical issues
  • Document maintenance activities for compliance and future reference
  • Collaborate with the production team to improve operational efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, safety protocols, and food industry regulations

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree preferred
  • 2-5 years of experience in an industrial bakery or food manufacturing environment
  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with equipment maintenance, pneumatic systems, and hydraulics
  • Proficiency in electrical systems and PLC diagnostics
  • Welding experience (MIG, TIG, Stick) is a significant advantage
  • Physical ability to perform various tasks including lifting up to 60 pounds
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • Familiarity with HACCP, SQF, and FDA regulations is a plus
