Overview

Cargill is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician for their Food Enterprise in Glendale, Utah. This role is crucial in providing maintenance solutions to ensure the smooth operation of various equipment and systems used in food manufacturing and processing.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform preventative, predictive, and reactive industrial maintenance throughout the facility
  • Document completed work and conditions found using maintenance software
  • Install, maintain, test, evaluate, and repair various components and systems including packaging equipment and hydraulic/pneumatic systems
  • Operate standard maintenance tools such as power tools, basic hand tools, and pneumatic tools
  • Comprehend mechanical/electrical schematics, blueprints, and operation manuals
  • Operate a forklift
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • Complete other assigned duties as needed

Required skills

  • Experience with maintenance trades in an industrial environment (minimum one year)
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to communicate in English (verbal/written)
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50lbs, bending, and climbing
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
  • Ability to work overtime and varied shifts as needed
  • Experience with SAP or a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) preferred
  • Certifications such as Certified Maintenance Reliability Technician (CMRT) or willingness to acquire them
  • High school diploma or GED or two years of equivalent work experience
