Job Description

Overview

As an Industrial Maintenance Electrician at Cargill, you will perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot basic issues, and assist in programming modifications on computer-controlled systems. This role requires the use of maintenance and reliability practices to ensure equipment longevity and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

  • Modify programming according to general guidelines
  • Participate in the design and installation of new or modernized equipment and machinery
  • Conduct troubleshooting of mechanical-electrical failures and machine automation
  • Provide feedback and suggestions to improve plant asset reliability
  • Perform periodic inspection and maintenance of processing equipment and electrical systems under direct supervision
  • Execute preventive, predictive, and reactive industrial electrical work throughout the facility
  • Install and test low and high voltage systems (up to 600V)
  • Follow direct schematics, plans, and technical manuals
  • Document completed work and findings using maintenance software
  • Operate mobile equipment as needed

Required skills

  • Knowledge in basic software
  • Understanding of industrial safety principles
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Experience with maintenance processes including predictive and preventive maintenance
  • Knowledge of electrical, mechanical and automation concepts
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Minimum of two years of relevant work experience
