Overview

West Fraser is looking for an Industrial Equipment Technician in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. The role involves operating and maintaining the planer machine, performing preventive maintenance, and assisting with minor and major repairs within a production environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Use personal protective equipment and adhere to safety rules and lockout procedures
  • Perform critical measurements using a caliper
  • Set, monitor, and maintain the planer machine
  • Conduct minor repairs and all preventive maintenance on the machine
  • Ensure proper operation and quality finish of the product
  • Feed the planer and maintain constant lumber flow
  • Assist maintenance with major repairs of machines
  • Change knives and perform routine maintenance and lubrication
  • Maintain housekeeping as assigned by supervisor
  • Assist with maintenance repairs to other machines in the department
