Overview

Caterpillar is seeking an Industrial Electrician for their East Peoria facility. The role involves building, installing, and repairing electrical and electronic circuits for machine tools and plant equipment, contributing to the creation of sustainable communities through innovative work.

Key responsibilities

  • Build, install, and repair electrical and electronic circuits for machines
  • Diagnose malfunctions using knowledge of electronic circuits
  • Test and calibrate faulty equipment and testing instruments
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex machine tools and CNC/PLC machines
  • Support electrical aspects of new equipment installation

Required skills

  • Proficiency in electrical and electronic theory and application
  • Interpretation of schematics and electrical diagrams
  • Three years of experience with electrical machinery
  • Understanding of troubleshooting techniques for electrical units
  • Conduit bending experience (desired)
