Job Description

Overview

WestRock is seeking an Industrial Electrician for their corrugated packaging plant in Gardner, Massachusetts. In this role, you will ensure equipment operates to OEM standards while supporting maintenance and production goals. You will work with team members to perform predictive, preventive, and emergency maintenance in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Follow all safety rules and practices
  • Provide troubleshooting and support for electrical and automation controls
  • Conduct predictive, preventive and emergency maintenance of equipment
  • Review plant metrics and KPIs for continuous improvement
  • Perform emergency breakdown maintenance as needed
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas
  • Provide leadership and training to fellow technicians

Required skills

  • Strong understanding of PLC, VFD, and HMI/OIT software
  • Experience troubleshooting electrical control systems and mechanical drives
  • Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics
  • Strong CMMS knowledge
  • Excellent communication and team-building skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and JDE or similar software
  • Experience in corrugated packaging or similar high-volume manufacturing
