Job Description

Overview

WestRock is seeking an Industrial Electrician for their corrugated packaging plant in Bolton, Massachusetts. The role involves maintaining equipment to OEM standards and ensuring maximum uptime through effective electrical and automation controls troubleshooting, as well as performing preventive and emergency maintenance tasks.

Key responsibilities

  • Follow all safety rules and practices
  • Provide electrical and automation controls troubleshooting and maintenance
  • Review plant metrics and equipment data for continuous improvement
  • Perform emergency breakdown maintenance and preventive maintenance activities
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas
  • Provide leadership and training to other automation technicians

Required skills

  • Strong understanding of PLC, VFD, and HMI/OIT software
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical control systems, mechanical drives, pneumatics, hydraulics, and robo
  • Strong CMMS knowledge and computer skills
  • Ability to reference equipment manuals
  • Experience with large industrial equipment
  • Excellent communication and team-building skills
  • Education in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience
