Job Description

Overview

As an Industrial Electrician at WestRock's Leominster facility, you will serve as an industrial controls technician focused on maintaining equipment to OEM standards in a fast-paced corrugated packaging plant. Your role will involve collaborating with maintenance leadership, operators, and vendors to ensure maximum equipment uptime and safety in meeting production goals.

Key responsibilities

  • Follow all safety rules and practices
  • Provide electrical and automation controls troubleshooting and support
  • Conduct predictive, preventive, and emergency maintenance
  • Review plant metrics and equipment data for continuous improvement
  • Perform emergency breakdown maintenance as necessary
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas
  • Provide leadership and training to junior automation technicians

Required skills

  • Strong understanding of PLC, VFD, and HMI/OIT software
  • Experience with electrical controls systems, mechanical drives, pneumatics, and hydraulics
  • Strong CMMS knowledge
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and JDE or similar software
  • Excellent communication and team-building skills
  • Mentorship capability
  • Understanding of precision maintenance
  • Experience with automation and robotics in a manufacturing environment
