Overview

SHD Composites is looking for a skilled Industrial Electrician in Mooresville, North Carolina, to maintain, repair, and install manufacturing equipment and electrical systems. The role is crucial for ensuring operational efficiency and supporting facility projects.

Key responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial electrical systems, machinery, and production equipment
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on manufacturing equipment
  • Install, maintain, and repair motors, drives, control panels, transformers, and electrical distribution systems
  • Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and automated manufacturing systems
  • Ensure all work complies with OSHA and company safety standards
  • Assist with facility expansion projects and coordinate with outside contractors

Required skills

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 3 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience
  • Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems and motor controls
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
  • Working knowledge of OSHA safety requirements and Lockout/Tagout procedures
  • Experience with PLC troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar)
  • Knowledge of VFDs, automation systems, and control circuits
  • Forklift and aerial lift certification
