Overview

The Individual Vocation role at the Windsor Independent Living Association (WILA) focuses on supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in finding and maintaining competitive employment. The position requires engaging individuals in meaningful community involvement and includes substantial community interaction, driving, and coordination with various stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

  • Advocate for individuals to lead self-directed lives
  • Engage individuals daily to provide meaningful community involvement
  • Assist individuals vocally and through volunteer experiences
  • Participate in all meetings
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required skills

  • High school degree or GED certification; college degree preferred
  • Experience with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Ability to collaborate with leadership and diverse teams
  • Active CPR and First Aid certification
  • Active DDS Medication Administration Certification
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Therap
  • Excellent documentation skills
  • Creativity for socialization and meaningful engagement
