Overview

The Inbound Forklift Operator role at Sysco involves operating and maintaining warehouse equipment while ensuring the safe and efficient flow of products into the warehouse. The position requires adherence to safety regulations and maintenance protocols to minimize risks and enhance operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

  • Operate equipment such as tugs, forklifts, and pallet jacks according to safety rules to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Maintain and keep assigned equipment clean, reporting any repair or service needs.
  • Observe all safety rules and sanitation policies.
  • Use equipment horns when driving in potentially hazardous areas to reduce accidents.
  • Ensure equipment is plugged in when not in use for readiness.
  • Manage time efficiently and follow procedures and policies.
  • Perform basic mathematical calculations and identify solutions to problems.
